Your business identity
Logo design for small businesses.
A focused logo for your website, social profiles, uniforms and everyday business use. Discuss it separately or alongside a website; the quote sets the scope and price.
One identity, different uses
My own DJackson Design identity, shown in three practical formats.
This is my own business identity, not a commissioned client logo.
The example shown
The same identity in different spaces.
The website header pairs the full business name with the DJ symbol. The square version uses the symbol alone where the complete name would have less room. The black version keeps the same shape without depending on cobalt.
These are versions of one identity, rather than three separate logo concepts. The uses and files for your own business are agreed from your brief.
Before agreeing the work
Choose the uses, then the files.
A header, a small profile image and a printed sign have different requirements. Include the actual uses and any supplier requirements so the needed colour versions, formats and sizes can be identified.
Your quote sets the design scope, concepts, revisions, final files and usage rights. Logo work does not include trademark clearance.
Read the website and logo project processA logo that suits how you use it
Your business name, what you offer and the places the logo will appear. Those uses determine which versions and files the project needs.
- Lettering that remains readable at a useful size.
- A style that suits the business.
- Colour and single-colour requirements.
- Agreed files, revisions and schedule.
Which logo files will you need?
Tell me where the logo will appear before we agree the work. A vector file such as SVG suits a website and can be scaled; a transparent PNG can be useful for everyday documents and social profiles. Print suppliers may ask for a different format.
The quote confirms the final formats, colour versions, usage rights and revision allowance. Include signs, uniforms or printed materials in the brief so their requirements can be checked.
