Privacy information
How your enquiry
details are used.
Daniel Jackson, trading as DJackson Design, is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact hello@djacksondesign.com about your information.
Information you provide
The enquiry form collects your name, email address, selected service and message. It also records a submission reference and processing time. Please leave out passwords, payment details and sensitive personal information.
The host processes technical request information, including IP addresses, to operate and protect the website. The enquiry handler uses hashed identifiers for rate limits and duplicate prevention.
Why it is used
Your details are used to answer your enquiry, clarify the work you need and prepare a quote. Where you request a service, this is to take steps towards a contract. Business administration and protecting the form from misuse rely on legitimate interests.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
Services involved
Hostinger hosts this website and processes its form. Google Workspace handles business email. OpenAI and local business tools help organise enquiries and prepare or send routine questions under Daniel’s oversight. Daniel approves prices, contracts and other commitments.
Your message may be handled by an assistant. No decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made solely by an automated system.
Providers may process information outside the UK. Their published arrangements include adequacy decisions and contractual safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses and UK transfer addendum where applicable. See Hostinger data processing terms, Google data processing terms and OpenAI European privacy policy. Contact hello@djacksondesign.com to request details or copies of relevant safeguards. Information is shared only as needed to handle the enquiry and operate these services.
How long it is kept
Form records containing your name, email and message are removed after 30 days during the next scheduled or submission-triggered cleanup. Minimal reference and processing records remain to prevent duplicate emails.
Email correspondence and assistant task records are kept while dealing with your enquiry or project and for relevant business records. Unneeded correspondence and task records are reviewed for removal once the enquiry is closed and no project, dispute or record-keeping need remains. Financial and contractual records may need to be kept longer to meet legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to access or correct your information, and request deletion, restriction or portability where applicable. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact hello@djacksondesign.com to make a request.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and tracking
Google Analytics is optional. It loads only after you accept analytics, to help understand visits and improve this website. Advertising signals are disabled. Rejecting analytics does not affect enquiries or browsing. No external font service is used.
Your analytics choice
Use Analytics settings in the footer to accept or reject analytics later. This browser remembers your choice in local storage for 180 days. If storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page. If your browser blocks changing an earlier acceptance, a warning asks you to clear this site’s saved data before visiting another page.
When accepted, Google processes page visits and technical information about your browser and device. The site removes query strings and fragments from the page address it supplies to Analytics. The project questionnaire and fictional demonstration pages do not load this tag. If you accept analytics, the website also counts confirmed contact-form submissions after the form service accepts the enquiry. This count does not confirm inbox receipt or that an enquiry becomes a customer. The submission reference is used locally to avoid counting a retry twice and is not sent to Google. Your name, email address, selected service, message and other form contents are not added to analytics events by this website.
Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_XHT7LDRJVQ) are configured to last up to 180 days. Rejecting after accepting stops analytics on the next page load and removes these cookies. Consent is the basis for optional analytics. Google may process data outside the UK; see Google’s privacy policy and how Google safeguards Analytics data.
The enquiry form does not require a login or set a session cookie.
